Children's Law Center and one of our pro bono attorneys, Joanne Ludovici-Lint of McDermott Will & Emery, were featured in the February issue of Washington Lawyer in an article that focused on the pro bono partnership that CLC has built with more than 70 local law firms. Using an adoption case to illustrate an example of a typical pro bono case, the article recounts the experience from several perspectives - the client, the attorney and the organization that connected the two.
Both Ludovici-Lint and Judith Sandalow, executive director of CLC, described the high level of support that CLC provides to pro bono attorneys, the commitment needed on the part of attorneys and the rewards they experience.
