CLC is pleased to announce the release of its newest Practice Kit, our sixth, an “Education Toolkit.” The Education Toolkit is an incredible resource that will help all children's lawyers and Counsel for Child Abuse and Neglect (CCAN) panel members get started with the new school year. It contains resources from DC Public Schools and Prince Georges County Public Schools, including school contact information and calendars, and information on school enrollment, stability, discipline, attendance and truancy, special education, early intervention and other relevant policies for both jurisdictions. A copy of the Table of Contents is available here. CCAN attorneys interested in ordering the Education Toolkit, which will be offered in CD format, should e-mail Daryl Wright at dwright@childrenslawcenter.org.
The Children’s Law Center is an amazing advocate for DC’s children. CLC gives children the best legal representation possible, through experienced and phenomenally devoted and creative staff. They will go to any length to make sure that vulnerable children get the help they need. Equally impressive, CLC uses the experiences from serving children directly to promote public policy changes that help all of the city’s children — bringing us closer to the day when every child has a safe and stable home.
