A news item on the DC Bar's website reminds lawyers and firms about the ongoing Holiday Hope Drive. New this year is a gift card drive for teens, and volunteer "Santas" are needed to shop for younger children.
The article quotes Judith Sandalow, executive director of the Children’s Law Center: “I love seeing attorneys trade briefcases for bags of presents during the Hope Drive.”
“I didn’t have any assistance … and I didn’t know what I was going to do. When Children’s Law Center took my case, they were all I needed. They were my backbone.”
