Our annual Helping Children Soar Benefit brought hundreds of people to the Kennedy Center’s Roof Terrace Restaurant on September 21, 2011. This year the program focused on CLC’s work to build forever families through adoption and guardianship. We presented Senator Mary Landrieu with the Distinguished Child Advocate Award and law firm Jones Day with the Children’s Pro Bono Champion Award.

An art opening featuring portraits painted by local artist Don Patron honors mothers and children.
Volunteer "Santa's" donated 3,500 gifts valued at $155,000 - a 5% increase over last year's donations - providing joyful holidays for over 700 needy families. More volunteers got into the spirit by lending a hand at CLC's gift wrapping party.
