Kimberly leads the Social Work Project, a collaborative effort between Children’s Law Center’s social workers and attorneys, to further the best interests of clients through providing clinical assessment, strategic intervention, and recommendations on complex cases. In addition to overseeing a staff of four social workers, she consults and is an active team member on a myriad of family law cases, including child welfare, special education, and custody matters. She began as the first clinical social worker in the Guardian ad Litem Program in 2010. Prior to joining Children’s Law Center, Kimberly worked in therapeutic foster care in varying capacities, including case carrying social work, clinical supervision and foster parent training and recruitment. She has vast training and experience in community mental health, attachment based, and trauma focused therapies, and crisis prevention and intervention. Kimberly is clinically licensed in DC and MD. Kimberly is also a part-time family therapist and adoption home study worker.
