Lee Swanson joined Children’s Law Center’s medical-legal partnership, Healthy Together, in 2014. As Senior Brief Service Attorney, Lee serves as an initial point of contact for families with legal issues related to a child’s disability or medical condition. Previously, they worked as an attorney assisting immigrant youth. As a Public Interest Law Scholar at Northeastern University School of Law, Lee completed internships with the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association, the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts, Legal Aid of North Carolina and Southern Coalition for Social Justice. Prior to law school, they conducted faith-based advocacy on economic and racial justice issues for the Unitarian Universalist Association and served low-income immigrants in North Carolina as an AmeriCorps ACCESS volunteer. They speak Spanish, study Amharic and Mandarin and volunteer with Trans Legal Advocates of Washington.
