Katherine McGiffin is a Senior Attorney with the Guardian ad Litem Program and represents children and their best interests in abuse and neglect proceedings. Prior to her tenure at Children’s Law Center, Katherine held the position of Assistant Attorney General for the District of Columbia, handling litigation matters within the Child Protection Section of the Family Services Division. Katherine also previously served as an Assistant Hennepin County Attorney in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and was assigned to the Juvenile Delinquency and Child Protection divisions. As a law student, Katherine clerked for the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office. Prior to law school, Katherine was a Field Organizer with the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness.
