Melinda Cooperman is a Staff Attorney in the Guardian ad Litem Project who represents children in abuse and neglect cases in the District of Columbia. Prior to joining Childrens Law Center, Melinda was a Clinical Teaching Fellow in the Street Law Clinic at Georgetown University Law Center. Most recently, Melinda ran the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project at Washington College of Law and was a member of the adjunct faculty. She has presented at law related education conferences and lead trainings around the country and the world. Melinda served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador, ran a family education program at a transitional homeless shelter in San Francisco as a corps member with the San Francisco Urban Service Project and speaks Spanish.
