Alix joined Children’s Law Center in 2017 as an investigator with the Guardian ad Litem program, where she assists attorneys who represent children in abuse and neglect cases.  Previously, Alix taught Spanish at a public high school in Austin, Texas and worked as a residential instructor in the post-secondary transition program at Texas School for the Blind & Visually Impaired. In these roles, and as a Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor, Alix worked closely with underrepresented populations, which fostered her interest in youth advocacy.
