Lynne DeSarbo joined Children’s Law Center as a special education staff attorney in 2008 in order to pursue her passion for children's issues full-time. Prior to joining CLC, Lynne served as an associate at Dickstein Shapiro LLP where she maintained a varied litigation and regulatory practice in health care, general civil litigation matters, and complex dispute resolution. During her time in private practice, she gained extensive child welfare experience by serving as a Guardian ad litem on a pro bono basis. Lynne graduated from the University of Michigan where she received a BA in Psychology and an MSW in Policy and Planning. She later earned her JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and received the James J. Manderino Award for trial advocacy. Lynne currently serves as Chair of the Westmoreland Children’s Center 's Board of Directors and teaches Sunday school to young children.
