Lee joined Children’s Law Center in fall 2016. She is a Supervising Education Attorney for the Guardian ad Litem program, providing representation for youth involved in the abuse and neglect, juvenile justice and PINS systems to ensure they receive an appropriate education. Prior to joining CLC, Lee was an Equal Justice Works Fellow at Equip for Equality in Chicago, focusing on the educational rights of elementary-age children with mental health issues. During her fellowship, she provided legal advocacy, training, and resources to children with mental health diagnoses and their families to prevent school discipline issues and to promote academic success. Prior to law school, she completed her Master’s Degree in Special Education at George Mason University. She also served as a high school special education teacher and Student Support Team Leader.
