Testimony: Public Charter School Board Oversight (FY17)
Policy Director Sharra Greer testified before the DC Council’s Committee on Education regarding the FY2016 performance of the District’s Public Charter School Board (PCSB). Sharra’s testimony focused on discussing PCSB’s progress and continued challenges in several areas, including:
- Special education reforms;
- Special education oversight;
- Trauma and school-based mental health services;
- Improving language access; and
- School engagement.
