Elizabeth Tossell joined Children’s Law Center as an Equal Justice Works fellow in 2007. She graduated from Harvard Law School in 2007 as a recipient of the Skirnick Public Interest Fellowship. During law school, Elizabeth represented incarcerated youth in disciplinary hearings and low-income tenants in housing matters. She also spent a summer working on death penalty cases in Louisiana. At law school, she served as an editor of the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review and led efforts to strengthen the public interest community and to improve the climate on campus for LGBT students. In 2002, she graduated from Yale University with a BA in Humanities.

I wouldn’t have been able to afford the legal help that I got. The legal assistance I got was equivalent to a Wall Street law firm. That’s how hard Children’s Law Center worked. I could never have paid for what I received from them.
