Kenya Douglas joined Children's Law Center as an investigator for the GAL Project in 2008. Prior to joining CLC, she worked as a Case Advocacy Coordinator for the Foster & Adoptive Parent Advocacy Center (FAPAC) within this role she advocated for foster, kinship and adoptive parents of children from the District of Columbia's child welfare system. Kenya was also CLC's 2007 Distinguished Child Advocate Awardee.
I wouldn’t have been able to afford the legal help that I got. The legal assistance I got was equivalent to a Wall Street law firm. That’s how hard Children’s Law Center worked. I could never have paid for what I received from them.
