Kwame Willingham joined the Children’s Law Center as a Guardian Ad Litem staff attorney in 2009. He received his J.D. from the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) David A. Clarke School of Law. As a member of the Juvenile Justice and Special Education Clinic, Kwame advocated on behalf of students with special education needs in the District of Columbia Public School system. He also represented parents involved in the District of Columbia abuse and neglect system as a member of the Family Law Clinic. Kwame looks forward to continuing to advocate for families in the District through his work with the Children’s Law Center.
I wouldn’t have been able to afford the legal help that I got. The legal assistance I got was equivalent to a Wall Street law firm. That’s how hard Children’s Law Center worked. I could never have paid for what I received from them.
