Marissa Gunn joined CLC as a staff attorney in 2009. Prior to joining CLC, Marissa did policy work with the National Council of Nonprofits. Between undergraduate and law school, Marissa served and an AmeriCorps Volunteer at Bread for the City in Washington, D.C. She received a B.A. in Sociology and Politics from Juniata College in 2005 and a J.D. from Howard University School of law in 2009.
Steptoe & Johnson has had a very close relationship with the Children's Law Center since its formation. The cases CLC refers are truly compelling, and the many attorneys who have worked on them over the years have been deeply touched by the experience. It is also a pleasure to work with the CLC staff, all of whom are extremely knowledgeable, and always ready to mentor pro bono attorneys.
