Tomar Brown came to Children's Law Center as a staff attorney with the GAL Project in 2008. She received her BA from Denison University and her JD from Case Western Reserve University. In 2006, Tomar became the first Case alumnus to be awarded an Equal Justice Works Fellowship. Through this opportunity, Tomar implemented a program she developed called CLASS (Continued Legal Advocacy for Student Success) at the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. The CLASS program reversed the effects of the "school-to-prison pipeline" by providing at-risk students with representation in expulsion and special education matters. Tomar brings her passion for youth justice to her work at CLC.
The Health Access Project is a phenomenal program we have here at our health center that allows us as physicians to supplement the services we provide to our patients.
