Tyra Moore came to the Children’s Law Center as a social worker in the Guardian ad Litem Project in May 2011. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Georgia in 2004. After graduating, Tyra moved to the DC area and began working as a social worker in treatment foster care. She has provided direct care to treatment youth and has also managed the recruitment, licensing, training, and monitoring of treatment foster parents. She is a District of Columbia Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and has extensive experience in the areas of trauma and attachment with youth in foster care.
