Interim Campaign Operations Director, Children’s Law Center

Reports to: Chief Development Officer

Supervises: NA

This is a temporary position. The assignment will begin as soon as filled and end June 2019.

Additional Position Information

Children’s Law Center is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented campaign operations director to organize the team for our 2019 Helping Children Soar Benefit and other campaigns. Ideal candidates have excellent project management and good fundraising experience. The position is a temporary assignment to fill a vacancy created by departing staff during a busy season.  On-site support is preferred but could be limited to 4-8 hours/week of a 20-30 hour work week. The position will be filled immediately and is likely to end by June 2019.  For those interested, this could become a permanent position as the development team reorganizes and fills open positions.


  • Implement current donor tracking systems, including testing and refinement of our development systems

  • Improve systems to implement development strategies

  • Improve systems to produce high quality gift acknowledgements and conduct monthly financial reconciliation.

  • Direct staff to maintain fundraising records, files and databases.

  • Guide preparation of fundraising reports.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of the CLC's mission and programs to promote CLC’s fundraising initiatives.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.



Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High School, Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 2 - 6 years of project management, fundraising, communications, sales, marketing, event planning experience

Position Requirements:

  • Collaborate with Development Team to ensuring fundraising success.

  • Excellent MS Office Suite and database management skills.

  • Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.

  • Professional and solid judgment.

  • Experience with Donor Perfect is preferred

  • On-site support is preferred, but could be limited to 4-8 hours/week of 20-30 hour/week

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Physical demands are minimal and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations

  • Work environment is representative and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations

  • May be required to move campaign and event materials weighing up to 15 pounds for various events.
