Buck is a special counsel on the Policy team at Children’s Law Center. Buck advocates with DC government agencies and the DC Council to improve services and supports for the District’s most vulnerable children and families, including on issues involving housing and education. He joined Children’s Law Center in 2016 and gained three years of experience in the Healthy Together program, where he conducted initial intakes and provided brief services for families seeking help with housing, special education, and access to health care. Prior to joining Children’s Law Center, Buck practiced communications law in private practice and in the government and continues to be Of Counsel at the law firm of Lawler, Metzger, Keeney & Logan, LLC. While in private practice, Buck worked on a number of pro bono projects, including handling a housing conditions case and a custodial guardian ad litem case for clients referred by Children’s Law Center. Buck clerked for the Hon. Levin H. Campbell of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and was a Bigelow Fellow & Lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School.
