Gabby is the GAL Education Project Manager with the Children’s Law Center. In this role, Gabby plays a lead role in shaping CLC’s education practice and litigation, gathering information about trends in our education case work, ensuring the education team’s provision of high quality representation, and formulating and driving the education project’s vision. Gabby formerly served as a supervising attorney and Guardian ad litem with the Children’s Law Center. As a Guardian ad litem, Gabby provided direct best interests legal representation for more than sixty youth in the District of Columbia’s foster care system, and subsequently supervised more than 300 such cases. She has gained extensive experience navigating the District of Columbia’s foster care, mental health, and education systems, and played an integral role in securing appropriate services and permanency for clients ranging from zero to twenty-one years of age. In addition to her project management and case-related tasks, Gabby formerly spearheaded CLC’s law clerk program. Prior to joining the Children’s Law Center in 2008, Gabby was a 2007 National Semi-Finalist and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Champion in the American Bar Association’s “Representation in Mediation” Competition, and was the Founding Co-Editor-In-Chief of Health Law & Policy, a biannual publication of American University Washington College of Law.
