Katriina started her position as an investigator with the Guardian Ad Litem program at Children’s Law Center in June 2019. A recent graduate from George Mason University, Katriina previously worked with the Northern Virginia Mediation Service in their civil mediation and restorative justice programs. She has also interned as an investigator with the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights. Katriina has published research on the evolution of super-maximum security prisons and the effects solitary confinement has on inmates, as well as studied abroad in Queensland, Australia. She is currently working on becoming a licensed general district court mediator as well as a certified restorative justice mediator in Virginia.
