Marissa is a senior supervising attorney who represents children in custody cases when their family stability is threatened by domestic violence, allegations of abuse or high conflict between their parents. She also handles adoption, guardianship, and third-party custody. She also supervises the Covington Associate, and trains and mentors pro bono attorneys. Marissa joined Children’s Law Center in 2009 as an attorney in the Guardian ad Litem Program. As a law student, she interned with the National Partnership for Women and Families. Prior to Law School, Marissa helped connect low income and indigent clients and families to various services and supports as an AmeriCorps Volunteer with Bread for the City in Washington, DC.
