Stella joins the CLC team in the inaugural role as Director of Equity, Inclusion, and Talent, in which she facilitates the development of an organizational culture of diversity, inclusion, equity and cultural humility (inclusion initiatives) while strengthening Children’s Law Center’s culture of excellence and its flexible, family-friendly and supportive work environment. Stella works with senior staff and the leadership team to ensure that Children’s Law Center’s strategies, programs, client engagement, and external communications reflect cultural humility and inclusion. Prior to her work at the Children’s Law Center, Stella was an education, SEL, and talent management trainer for eight years. Most recently, she was an Impact Manager at City Year in Southeast DC, where she facilitated diversity trainings on microaggressions, power, oppression and privilege and inclusion for more than 460 staff members. Everyone could benefit from existing in, and moving through, this world at the intersection of (at least) two social oppressions.
