FY19 Oversight Testimony: DC Health
Children’s Law Center attorney Kathy Zeisel recently shared her testimony about DC Health with DC Council’s Committee on Health. She shared this testimony because through our work, we’ve seen a significant correlation between children who go to the emergency room for asthma and those who have serious housing conditions issues like mold and insect and rodent infestation in their home. Kathy included information about our current collaboration with DC Health to try to decrease the asthma disparity in—BUILD Health DC—along with the next steps we can take to continue tackling these disparities.
